About The Event
Get ready for an unforgettable and joy filled experience as the world renowned Watoto Children’s Choir joins us for a very special event at our church!
Through vibrant singing, energetic dancing, and personal stories, the choir shares a moving message of hope, restoration, and resilience. This colourful production tells the stories of vulnerable and abandoned children who have received the love and care they need to become Africa’s future leaders, taking audiences on an emotional and uplifting journey.
For over 40 years, Watoto has been caring for vulnerable and abandoned children and empowering women in Uganda, providing loving families, education, and hope for a brighter future. The choir is made up of children whose lives have been transformed through this ministry, and their stories are truly moving.
This is more than a concert. It is a powerful experience for the whole family and an opportunity to witness firsthand the incredible impact of hope in action.
You will not want to miss this inspiring and unforgettable event! Host a Watoto Choir Family
As we prepare to welcome the Watoto Children’s Choir to our church on Saturday 2nd August, we are looking for host families to help accommodate choir members during their stay for two nights, Sunday 2 August - Tuesday 4 August.
Each child in the choir is paired with a designated guardian for the Australian tour, and we are seeking welcoming homes that can provide a safe and comfortable place to stay. If you are interested in hosting, we would love to know how many spare rooms you have available, as this will help us plan accommodation for the team.
What Hosting Involves
Hosting is a unique opportunity to be part of the Watoto story and extend hospitality to this incredible ministry. The choir’s Monday is a designated day of rest and preparation, so there is no expectation to organise outings or activities. If you need to work during the day, choir members can remain at home.
If you would like to learn more about hosting, please view the information document here. If you are interested or would like to ask a question, please contact us via info@kalamunda.church and let us know how many rooms you may be able to offer.
Thank you for helping us make the Watoto Choir feel welcomed and cared for during their visit.
